Corrections and independence

Write to [email protected]. There is no form, no account and no ticket number, because this site stores nothing about anybody and is not going to start in order to look official.

1. Send the record URL and what you believe is wrong. If you have the merchant page open and it disagrees with us, that link is the whole case — attach it.
2. We re-read the merchant’s page ourselves. We do not take a correction on trust any more than we take a claim on trust.
3. If we were wrong, the record changes and an event is written with the date and the evidence. The published release is not edited: corrections land in the next version, which is why every citation on this site carries a version number.
4. The outcome is public whichever way it goes, on the change feed, with the same detail as any other event.

Prices move and pages disappear between our monthly checks; that is expected, and every price on the site carries the date it was read for exactly that reason. A stale price is not an error, but telling us about one still helps.

No merchant pays for anything

Not for inclusion, not for position, not for a kinder description. No merchant listed here has an approved affiliate programme and no link to a dupe pays us anything. The one exception runs the other way: links to the original bottle on Amazon are paid links, they are labelled as such beside the button, and they earn nothing for any shop in this ledger. Commission does not affect which merchants we cover, what order options appear in, or whether a mismatch gets published.

Rejections are published alongside passes

Every page we read and declined to promote stays in the record with its reason code, and the counts appear on the merchant’s own page. A coverage figure that only shows successes is a claim nobody can check.

We correct in public or not at all

Releases are immutable and every change is an event with a date. There is no mechanism on this site for quietly editing yesterday.

Merchants get no special channel

A merchant disputing a record uses the same address and gets the same treatment as a reader. What we will not do is remove an accurate record because the subject of it would prefer we did.

We stay out of our own lane’s neighbour

We do not review, rank or rate fragrances, and we publish no similarity scores. A correction can tell us a fact is wrong; it cannot tell us a bottle smells closer than we said, because we never said.

Brand names appear here for one purpose: to identify the fragrance a merchant has named. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or speaking for any fragrance house, and we do not use brand logos or bottle imagery. Where a brand appears in a heading it is because a merchant put it there first, on its own page, and we are reporting that.

A rights holder who believes a specific record or image oversteps should use the same address as anyone else — [email protected] — and will get a specific answer about that record.
